Sam McPheeters

Sam McPheeters is coming to the Trumbllplex for a special night of spoken word, and a reading from his new novel, “The Loom of Ruin”.

For 15 years, Sam McPheeters was the lead singer of Born Against, Men’s Recovery Project, and Wrangler Brutes. His columns, essays, and fiction have appeared in The Chicago Reader, Huffington Post, OC Weekly, Punk Planet, The Stranger, Vice, and The Village Voice. From 1990 to 2002, he ran Vermiform Records, an independent underground record label, which released 57 records, as well as a wide assortment of Sam’s writing and art fanzines.

About “The Loom of Ruin”: The book concerns Trang Yang, the angriest man in the world, and could be described as “satire”, or “a dark comedy”, or “a story in which lots of terrible things happen to a lot of good people.”

Famous zinester Jessika Rae will be reading from her zine, “97 pearl street” and one of three unreleased zines!
